The National association of agricultural advisory services of Ukraine have launched the Initiative “Research on how key stakeholders (government, business, and civil society organizations) understand the challenges of agricultural and rural development in the context of post-war recovery and European integration” within the project “Supporting the Activities of the Ukrainian National Platform of the EaP CSF in 2025–2026,” implemented by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting with financial support from the European Union.

The initiative title: Research on how key stakeholders (government, business, and civil society organizations) understand the challenges of agricultural and rural development in the context of post-war recovery and European integration

Organization:  Ukrainian public organization “National association of agricultural advisory services of Ukraine (WG4)

Objective: The initiative aims to develop a comprehensive, evidence-based understanding of how various stakeholder groups perceive key issues in the agricultural sector and rural areas, which challenges they prioritize, and what solutions could facilitate effective post-war recovery and align Ukraine with European Union standards and policies.

To achieve this goal, a national survey of key stakeholders in the fields of agricultural and rural development was conducted. Based on the findings, an analytical report and a set of recommendations have been prepared for government bodies, local self-government authorities, civil society organizations, professional associations, donor agencies, and international partners.

Roman Korinets, National association of agricultural advisory services of Ukraine:

Government authorities, agribusinesses, and civil society organizations sometimes hold differing views on the challenges and priorities regarding agricultural and rural development. It is important not only to identify these differences but also to find common ground for shaping a coordinated agenda for the development of the agricultural economy and rural areas, particularly in the context of Ukraine’s post-war recovery and European integration.

It is expected that the results of the study will contribute to the improvement of the quality of dialogue between stakeholders and more effective consideration of the needs of the agricultural sector and rural areas in the processes of post-war reconstruction and European integration of Ukraine.

We invite representatives of government bodies, agrarian business, professional associations, advisory services, scientific institutions, territorial communities and civil society organizations to join the activities of the Initiative and form a common vision of the future of the Ukrainian village.
