The UNP CSF EaP Steering Committee held an online meeting on January 27, 2026, which was dedicated to discussing the plans and priorities of the UNP for 2026 and the elections of Forum delegates.
The following draft Agenda was proposed for consideration:
- UNP Conference 2026 (public event, preparation of documents, elections of the UNP SC)
- Elections of Forum delegates.
- Admission of new members – NGO UMIND (below is the text of the letter, as a reminder about the candidate)
- Other
The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming UNP Annual Conference, including the election of delegates, the induction of new members, and the selection of candidates for the working group. The team discussed various conference documents and strategies, including the advocacy strategy and position paper, and planned for participation in the event in Truskavets.
Election of Forum Delegates
Ruslan Havrylyuk presented the rules and deadlines provided by the Forum Secretariat.
After the EC approves the list of delegates, the UNP should hold a Conference to elect a national coordinator and coordinators of working groups. Approximately in May – early June. In late June – early July, meetings of the Forum working groups should be held and their coordinators should be determined. Based on the results of these processes, a new Forum Steering Committee will be formed with 6 national coordinators and 7 coordinators of working groups (WG2 and WG3 will be represented by two coordinators).
UNP Conference 2026 (public event, preparation of documents, UNP SC elections)
The UNP Secretary provided information to the SC members regarding the financial capabilities of the project for the preparation and holding of the UNP Conference.
The Conference is scheduled to include:
- Public event
- Discussion of the draft UNP position paper
- Discussion of the draft Advocacy Strategy for 2027-2029
- Discussion of changes and additions to the UNP Code of Ethics
- Reporting session of coordinators
- Preparation and holding of the elections of the new CC – presentation of candidates, voting, presentation of results
- Plans for 2027 (holding WG meetings)
Implementation of the UNP Gender Policy (Event Planning) in Truskavets
Marta Chumalo informed the meeting participants that permission had been received from the EU Delegation and the EU Directorate General for the event “Strategy for Mainstreaming Gender Equality and Human Rights in the Activities of the Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum for 2026-2027”.
The meeting was dedicated to planning the event in Truskavets, discussing logistics, accommodation and potential participants. The importance of involving various UNP Working Groups in the event and inviting those who worked on gender policy was noted.
Admission of new members – NGO UMIND
The organization is submitted to WG4. WG4 Coordinator Ivan Kulchytskyi supported the admission of NGO UMIND. The admission of the new organization was supported (representative — Olena Levandovska) – the decision was unanimous.
