Iryna Kuropas, coordinator of WG2 UNP (Public Union “Local Economic Development Agency of Yavoriv Region”, members of WG2 UNP) and Vitaliy Filenko (“New Energy”, members of WG3 UNP) were on a working visit to Yerevan in November, where they participated in the meeting of the Board of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) as observers. They had the opportunity to monitor the adoption of key decisions that shape the future of transparency and good governance in the extractive sector.
At the same time, throughout the week, the Ukrainian delegation had important meetings with representatives of the Armenian civil society, including Lousineh Hakobyan from the EaP CSF Armenian National Platform. We discussed the challenges and prospects for civil society development, the role of monitoring and oversight in ensuring transparency, and strengthening cooperation in the Eastern Partnership region.
Iryna Kuropas:
This was an interesting experience that once again confirms: when we join efforts, share knowledge, and work together, we create real change. Such synergy allows us not only to respond to challenges but also to shape the future.
