On November 10, 2025, a meeting of WG 3 “Environment, Climate Change and Energy Security” was held. Traditionally, such a meeting was held jointly with CSF WG 5, as both groups are actively working towards strengthening Ukraine’s European integration path and on issues of green reconstruction and recovery of Ukraine.
The coordinators of the working groups informed the participants of the meeting about the current state of affairs in the CSF Ukraine and the EaP CSF, in particular regarding the possibilities of joining the meetings of the European Integration Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, cooperation with the Economic and Social Committee, and participation in working negotiation groups. The coordinator of WG 3, among other things, spoke about the substantive content of the EaP CSF Summit, which will be held in early December this year in Brussels.
Participants shared their experience of joining the working negotiation groups, implementing their projects that are thematically relevant to the activities of the working groups, and also presented information on the implementation of the joint initiative on the Ukraine Facility and the Ukraine Plan.
Regarding further actions, the meeting participants emphasized:
- the need for better visualization of the platforms’ work, as the public is poorly aware of such work;
- more attention to European integration issues, especially in the context of monitoring, taking into account Ukraine’s plans to join the EU by 2030;
- the future of the Ukraine Facility (planning work for the period after 2027 with the involvement of civil society);
- European integration priorities in strategies for sustainable community development.
The meeting participants discussed plans for the future and emphasized the importance of bringing more information about the platforms’ work to the public, and paying sufficient attention to European integration issues, in particular in the context of monitoring and work at the community level.
