A joint meeting of the UNP WG4 “Contacts between people” and the CSP WG6 “Science and technology, information society, education, training and youth, culture and sports” was held on October 15 in an online format.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing new initiatives related to artificial intelligence and their impact on the recovery of Ukraine. Ivan Kulchytsky presented the importance of communication channels for platform members and emphasized the participation of EU countries in the Eastern Partnership.
The meeting emphasized the importance of civic education and cooperation with educational institutions. Ivan Kulchytsky raised issues related to the quality of education through distance learning and the opportunities for Ukrainians to study abroad. Alla Kozhina presented the “AI for Ukraine” initiative, which explores ethical artificial intelligence in public education management.
Alla Kozhina presented the initiative “AI4Ukraine: Ethical Artificial Intelligence for Recovery on the Path to the EU” which consists in studying the ethical aspects of artificial intelligence and its implementation in public education management. The project involves conducting analytical research, roundtables and trainings to raise awareness of the possibilities of artificial intelligence among public servants. Alla Kozhina shared information about trainings and public events related to artificial intelligence.

The coordinator of the groups, Ivan Kulchytsky, emphasized the importance of communication between the groups, Ukraine’s participation in the Eastern Partnership and preparation for the annual conference of the UNP EaP.
They discussed the issue of inclusion, which is aimed at supporting people with disabilities, as well as new opportunities for cooperation between public organizations.
The participants agreed to intensify the exchange of information between groups and prepare joint project applications.
