UNP and IER invite you to a public discussion “Communications in Local Labour Markets of Kharkiv Oblast. Is There a Problem?”
15 August 2025, 13:00–15:00 (Kyiv time)
The event will take place offline in Kharkiv. The venue will be sent to you by email.
Solving problems facing communities today requires adequate ways of organising relationships between their subjects, representative local self-government bodies, and civil society organisations. The organisation of local labour markets as spaces of community resilience is particularly significant. The roundtable topic is defined by the assumption of a certain communication deficit between actors representing the interests of main labour market participants. This concerns the need for systematic activities aimed at overcoming the lack of communications at the institutional level.
The following speakers are planned:
- Valeriia Hontar (Coordination Humanitarian Centre CF).
- Valerii Repin (Kharkiv Regional Organisation of the Entrepreneurs’ Trade Union).
- Ihor Dubrovskyi (Centre for Social Security and Regional Initiatives NGO).
- Svitlana Levchenko (District 2223 for Community Work).
Topics for discussion:
- Formalised dialogue or lack of productive social contacts.
- Institutional opportunities for overcoming communication deficits.
- What is needed to overcome communication deficits?
Through free discussion, we aim to find answers to the following questions:
- Is there a common understanding of communication deficits at the institutional level?
- How do communication deficits affect local labour markets in Kharkiv Oblast?
- What needs to be done to overcome communication deficits?
The event is organised by Centre for Social Security and Regional Initiatives NGO (members of UNP WG5) with organisational support from Rotary Club “Kharkiv Hope.”
