At the joint meeting of the UNP EaP CSF Steering Committee and the Supervisory Board of the project “Supporting the activities of the Ukrainian National Platform of the EaP CSF in 2025-2026”, which took place online on June 20, 2025, the initiatives submitted from the UNP Working Groups were considered, discussed and decided.
NGO “Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting” was elected by the Forum Secretariat to support the functions of the UNP Secretariat for 2025-2026. According to the project, the UNP can support 7 initiatives per year. Funding for initiatives is equal.
The UNP Secretariat has put forward several requirements for initiatives:
- The topics of initiatives must meet the priorities of the UNP working groups (according to the Strategic Plan).
- The topics of the initiatives should be adapted to respond to the challenges facing Ukraine and civil society during Russia’s war in Ukraine (consequences of the war/prospects of recovery and advocacy of membership in the EU)
- The Initiative must have an analytical, advocacy and information component.
- The Initiatives must be supported by members of working groups.
Members of the UNP Working Groups submitted 10 initiatives.
After an active discussion, the UNP SC and the Project Supervisory Board recommended to support the following 7 initiatives:
WG 1. Democracy, human rights, good governance, and stability
- EU values at the local level: equality in Ukraine — implementing EU standards locally (Vinnytsia non-governmental organization “Information and Educational Center ‘VIS’”)
- EU Directive 2024/1385: challenges and opportunities for Ukraine (NGO Centre «Women’s Perspectives»)
WG 2. Economic integration and coherence with EU policy
- Revitalization of the Ukrainian economy: how to build a new transparent model of cooperation with entrepreneurs, focused on business needs (Local economic development agency of Yavoriv district)
WG 3. Environment, climate change, and energy security
- Access to environmental information and public participation in the context of green recovery and European integration reforms (International charitable organization “Environment-People-Law”)
- Role of Ukraine Facility in promoting environmental reforms (Non-governmental organization “Resource and Analysis Center “Society and Environment”)
WG 4. Contacts between people
- AI4Ukraine: Ethical Artificial Intelligence for Recovery on the Path to the EU (Institute of Public Strategies”)
WG 5. Social and labor policy and social dialogue
- Social dialogue tools as a mechanism for social cohesion at the community level (Center for Social Security and Regional Initiatives)
We sincerely welcome all those involved in the implementation of initiatives, who participated in the discussion in working groups, provided advice and recommendations.
