On February 27, 2025, the monthly meeting of Working Group 1 “Democracy, Human Rights, Good Governance and Stability” of the UNP EaP CSF was held.
The meeting was chaired by the coordinator of Working Group 1, Marta Chumalo.
WG1 UNP discussed the development of the UNP draft gender policy text and potential risks for media due to funding cuts, focusing on human rights issues in Ukraine and the Eastern Partnership. They also discussed their experiences with official letters and the importance of civil society organizations in addressing national risks, consensus on the need for consultative processes and creating a dialogue for future proposals.
The meeting participants discussed the importance of civil society organizations and their role in addressing national risks. The group recognizes the challenges faced by similar organizations in other countries, including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, and Moldova.
The event is implemented within the framework of the project ”Supporting the activities of the Ukrainian National Platform of the EaP CSF in 2025-2026”, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting.
