The UNP EaP FGS Steering Committee held an online meeting on February 19, 2025.
The Ukrainian National Platform of the EaP Civil Society Forum in cooperation with the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum is actively preparing for the URC, which will be held in Rome on July 10-11.
The meeting was devoted to discussing various aspects of the Forum’s activities, including support for Ukraine, organization of the next EaP Civil Society Forum Summit, fundraising and resource issues, as well as proposals for the participation of experts in the Ukraine Reconstruction Conference (URC-2025). Special attention was paid to the platform’s gender policy. Business issues in Ukraine and proposals for the creation of analytical documents were also discussed.
It was decided to propose key messages from a civil society perspective.
One of the four components of the URC-2025 will be the business dimension. ISPI, an Italian organization that is a member of the EaP CSF, is involved in its organization. The Forum Secretariat is consulting with ISPI on the representation of Ukrainian CSOs in the URC program under this dimension.
This dimension of the URC will be aimed at mobilizing the private sector for Ukraine’s recovery and sustainable economic development.
UNP can propose experts who can participate in or moderate the conference panels, as well as conduct analyses on topics relevant to the Ukrainian business sector (topics include green transition, attracting public and private investments, investments in infrastructure, critical raw materials…).
This would allow UNP members to be nominated to the URC and provide proposals and key messages from the perspective of civil society.
We thank the National Coordinator Ruslan Havrylyuk and the members of the Steering Committee for their ideas, suggestions, and work.
The event is implemented within the framework of the project ”Supporting the activities of the Ukrainian National Platform of the EaP CSF in 2025-2026”, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting.
