On January 30, 2025, the monthly meeting of Working Group 1 “Democracy, Human Rights, Good Governance and Stability” of the UNP EaP CSF was held.
The meeting was chaired by the coordinator of Working Group 1, Marta Chumalo.
The participants discussed the need to create an inter-sectoral working subgroup to create a draft of the UNP Gender Policy, to which they decided to invite all interested UNP participants.
Creating and Principles of a Gender Policy
The team discussed creating a gender policy for their platform. They agreed to form a working group to develop the policy, with the possibility of inviting other working groups to join. The policy would be based on the principles of inclusivity, transparency, gender equality and non-violence. The team also considered the possibility of conducting a survey or questionnaire to gather information from the wider platform. The policy was seen as a declaration of principles rather than a detailed strategy. The team agreed to meet regularly to discuss and refine the policy.
The meeting of the newly created working subgroup was scheduled for 14:00 on February 13, 2025. Meetings will be held twice a month until the final creation of the draft document.
The event is implemented within the framework of the project ”Supporting the activities of the Ukrainian National Platform of the EaP CSF in 2025-2026”, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting.
