
The UNP EaP FGS Steering Committee held an online meeting on January 7, 2025, which was dedicated to discussing the participation of UNP representatives in the Ukraine Reconstruction Conference (URC-2025), which is an important opportunity for advocating for civil society recommendations at the European level.
The discussion focused on the upcoming conference and how UNP members should participate in it.
The UNP SC members of the noted the key points:
- the importance of sharing experience and influence
- focusing on human rights issues in neighboring countries
- discussing the regional dimension of European integration, taking into account various aspects such as economics, ecology, and human rights.
The UNP National Coordinator Ruslan Havrylyuk stressed the importance of preparing a position paper outlining the key priorities of the platform. The Platform is designed to bring the voice of civil society to the conference and engage with donors, business and partners on European integration issues such as the environment, economy and regional cooperation.
It was decided to inform the EaP CSF Secretariat of its readiness to join the program of the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine (URC-2025) and to invite each UNP working group to focus on a specific topic related to their expertise.
The UNP SC members supported the proposal to prepare the Platform’s gender policy, present and discuss it within the framework of the UNP Conference this year. The possibility of holding an educational seminar on gender equality was also discussed.
The event is implemented within the framework of the project ”Supporting the activities of the Ukrainian National Platform of the EaP CSF in 2025-2026”, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting.
