This document summarizes the results of the First Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum Summit, which took place on November 19-21, 2024 in Vienna, Austria. This format replaced the Forum’s annual assemblies, which have been held 15 times since the European Union launched the Eastern Partnership policy.

The Summit, which took place against the backdrop of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, brought together representatives of civil society from the EaP region and the European Union, as well as officials responsible for cooperation within the framework of the EaP policy. A large Ukrainian delegation, whose members cover all key areas of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU, also took part.

The review, prepared by Ruslan Havryliuk, National Coordinator of the Ukrainian National Platform for the Eastern Partnership, highlights the results of the Summit and their significance for Ukrainian civil society. It provides information on the background of the Summit, its key topics, the results of the panels important for Ukraine, as well as a detailed analysis of the Summit Resolution adopted on the 1000th day of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

The document is recommended for familiarization of both civil society representatives and government authorities responsible for European integration processes in Ukraine to strengthen and coordinate advocacy of Ukraine’s interests on the path to EU membership.
