NGO “Kremenchuk Anti-Corruption Center”, a UNP WG1 member, launched the Initiative “Regional Dimension of the Dynamics of Restoring and Advocating for EU Membership: One Year Later” within the framework of the project “Support to the Activities of the Ukrainian National Platform of the EaP CSF in 2024” implemented by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting with the financial support of the European Union.

Initiative title: Regional Dimension of the Dynamics of Restoring and Advocating for EU Membership: One Year Later”

Organization:  NGO “Kremenchuk Anti-Corruption Center”, UNP WG1 member

Objective: To study the dynamics of restoration and the state of implementation of the national and local legal framework to the EU conditions for 2023-2024 on the example of two regions of Ukraine (Poltava and Kirovohrad). To show the existing progress and develop recommendations for partner organizations in Georgia and Moldova.

In 2023, the NGO Kremenchuk Anti-Corruption Center held 6 roundtable discussions in two regions of Ukraine as part of the initiative “Prospects for Restoring and Advocating for EU Membership: Regional Dimension” of the project “Support to the Activities of the Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum in 2021-2023.”

Oksana Huida, Kremenchuk Anti-Corruption Center:

The main motive of our work is to see the progress made and track the dynamics of current processes. We plan to hold offline events in July-September 2024, communicate with local authorities and invite partner organizations from Georgia and Moldova to a dialogue, as well as engage MPs of Ukraine in the conversation.

As part of the initiative, it is planned to:

  • hold (offline) roundtables to analyze the state of the national and local legal framework and its compliance with EU standards;
  • monitor the provisions of existing local recovery plans in two regions of Ukraine (Poltava and Kirovohrad);
  • receive media support through regional media, the Internet and social media;
  • develop recommendations for partner organizations from Georgia and Moldova and send the resulting analytical document to all stakeholders.
