Participants of the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine in Berlin discussed the results during the discussion “Berlin Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine: Results and Future Plans”, which took place online on June 17, 2024.
According to the participants of the discussion:
🔶 Civil society took an active part in the conference, so it strengthens its influence on the events taking place at the international level. It is important to maintain this trend, to have a more active influence on events and contribute to the approach of victory.
🔶 Public participation in this conference was the highest and best. In particular, thanks to the maximum involvement of representatives of civil society in discussions and the principle of “at least one representative of civil society on each panel”.
Other highlights of the conference:
🔷 It is important to consider the issue of reconstruction from the point of view of economic stability. It is necessary to rebuild the country now in order to preserve the possibility of reconstruction in the medium and long term.
🔷 The best investments in economic stability are air defense measures and means to repel Russian attacks.
🔷 Economic financing of Ukraine: international partners will continue to help our country.
🔷 The regional dimension of the conference was a successful idea, in particular, the demonstration of the real needs of the regions of Ukraine and already implemented reconstruction projects.
It is important to ensure a cross-sectoral consideration of environmental issues, green recovery, etc.
