Ruslan Havrylyuk, UNP EaP CSF National Coordinator, took part in Ukrainian-Armenian meetings as part of the two-day visit of a delegation of Armenian experts to Kyiv on May 23-24, 2024. The visit was dedicated to strengthening relations between Armenia and Ukraine in difficult geopolitical conditions.

The visit, organized by Media Holding NV, the Center for Support of Public Initiatives “Free Citizen” (Armenia) and the Embassy of Armenia in Ukraine, included a round table, media appearances and meetings with officials and businessmen.

Round table on regional cooperation

The round table gathered Armenian and Ukrainian experts to discuss the strengthening of multi-level relations between the two countries. The participants emphasized the following priorities:

  • Recognition and achievement of common interests.
  • Revival of bilateral contacts at various sites.
  • Restarting cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership.
  • Development of economic relations between Armenia and Ukraine in accordance with the goals of European integration of Armenia.

The need for a more active role of Ukraine in ensuring regional stability in the South Caucasus was emphasized. It was also discussed the need for the immediate appointment of the ambassador of Ukraine to Armenia, the expansion of media cooperation.
