The Ukrainian Federation of Employers in Tourism of Ukraine, UNP WG5 members is implementing the Initiative “The best European practices of involving social partners in the management of sustainable tourism for the post-war recovery of communities and regions of Ukraine: Sweden’s experience for Ukraine” within the project “Supporting the activities of the UNP EaP CSF 2021-2023”, which is implemented by the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting with the financial support of the European Union.

The main objective of the Initiative is to examine the possibilities of implementing the best European practices (based on the example of Sweden) in the management of tourist regions (destinations) with the participation of social partners for the rapid recovery of the economy of communities and regions of Ukraine in the post-war period.

With the overall objective of promoting sustainable post-war recovery of Ukrainian communities and regions, the project particularly aims to:

Explore the leading European experience in the management of tourist areas (destinations) with the participation of social partners at sectoral level (based on the example of leading tourist destinations in Sweden, a European leader in sustainable tourism development and social dialogue).

Analyze and evaluate the problematic issues of the development of sectoral social dialogue in Ukraine and to formulate recommendations for the social partners.

Organize and conduct public presentations and discussions of the developed recommendations.

Based on the results of the study, an analytical report will be published with clear recommendations for all participants in the social dialogue and all stakeholders who should be involved in the development of successful tourist destinations.
