Name of the initiative: Green Course: Threats and Opportunities

Organisation: NGO “Development center Pangeya Ultima”(WG4)

Duration of the project:  11.07-10.12.2022

Aim of the initiative: To investigate the knowledge about the “Green transition” among the youth of the Vinnytsia region and to attract and activate a specific circle of young people to international and local networking with various stakeholders, with whom it will be possible to plan the implementation of subsequent civic and partnership initiatives within the framework of this topic.

One of the elements of the five-month calendar of events of our initiative will be a study visit to Stina, to the base of the Eco-Center Stina, which our organization is developing together with the NGO Nashe Podillya.

The most immediate immediate threat to Ukrainian society is the military actions of the terrorist country of the Russian Federation. Although there is another challenge that cannot be taken less seriously. And this is the global challenge of Climate Change! It is extremely important not to forget about this and to constantly monitor the level of understanding among different segments of the population of aspects related to Climate Change. After all, they are reflected in everything, and the Russian Federation’s war in Ukraine became partially possible precisely because of the “carbon” blackmail of the world economies dependent on them by the Russian regime.

The advocacy campaign consists in involving the representatives of the authorities in a dialogue with the youth regarding the involvement of the latter in cooperation and activities within the framework of the “Green Transition” processes. A round table will be organized, to which government representatives will be invited, the analytical work of the Main Working Group will be presented, and business relations will be formed to develop specific ideas for involving young people in partnership civic initiatives, business models of activity or educational events that can be organized in partnership.
