On June 28, 2022, the WG2 meeting was held on the ZOOM platform. The purpose of the meeting was to coordinate the current activities of WG2 and plan activities and events for the next 1-2 months.
The meeting was held according to the planned agenda.
The coordinator of WG 2, Iryna Kuropas, emphasized that on June 30 there will be a joint meeting of representatives of WG 2 and WG 5 at the Forum level. One of the issues to be considered will be: General overview of the situation in the countries of the Eastern Partnership and discussion of the future policy of the Eastern Partnership. For us, this issue is extremely important, since Ukraine received the status of a candidate for EU membership. As Iryna emphasized: “The format of cooperation for Ukraine and Moldova within the framework of the Eastern Partnership should change, we need to understand how we will cooperate within the framework of the Eastern Partnership. It is important for me to develop a common opinion of our WG2, which I will have the opportunity to present on June 30.” Everyone had the opportunity to express their opinion and hear their colleagues. A joint position was not outlined, but the issues that should be raised at the joint meeting of representatives of WG2 and WG5 at the Forum level were defined.
One of the issues on the agenda was: Work on the plan for the revival of Ukraine. How our group members get involved or can get involved.
All those present approved the proposal of Iryna Kuropas, coordinator of WG 2, regarding the organization of a joint public event to discuss the economic reconstruction plan of Ukraine after the war, within the framework of which it is necessary to gather a wide range of stakeholders, especially people who are involved in the decision-making process in Ukraine. It is very important to involve the expert public environment in the processes of preparing Mr. Recovery of Ukraine. Olha Krasovska, head of the Board of the Ukrainian Evaluation Association, emphasized the importance of monitoring and evaluating the implementation of this plan and the implementation of reforms in Ukraine.
In various ways, participants discussed grant opportunities for group members and joint initiatives.
